Class NK Chairman and President, Noboru Ueda to inaugurate ShipTek 2009

ShipTek 2009, the two day international conference on technology revolution in Marine & Offshore industry is scheduled on 6 & 7 May 2009.

Noboru Ueda, Chairman and President, Class NK will inaugurate this two day international conference at Sing Expo, Singapore. The conference is spread over 7 sessions and is also clubbed with an international maritime expo called ShipTek Expo 2009. The ship classification society Nippon Kaiji Kyokai, known as ClassNK or NK is dedicated to ensuring the safety of life and property at sea, and the prevention of pollution of the marine environment. ClassNK has earned an outstanding reputation for its long-standing dedication to safeguarding life and property at sea and preventing marine pollution through the establishment of universally recognized standards for the design, construction and maintenance of ships and other marine structures. Environmental protection has also become an increasingly major concern for Class NK. Class NK will also endorse the special category of awards that includes 3 Lifetime Achievement Awards in the marine & offshore industry at the International Maritime Video & Excellence awards on 7 May 2009 at Swissotel –The Stamford, Singapore. ShipTek 2009 is the second edition of the flagship event of Marine BizTV – ShipTek.
